Briannee Mcgrath (36)

Proof: A calorie deficit works.

Weirdly this is a point that still gets debated somewhat. All be it without merit. Briannee is another excellent example that sticking to a small deficit, consistently will allow you to lose fat.

All together Briannee lost about 20kg (even more on her own before we met). I aimed to keep her deficit between 300 – 500 calories and when the weight stopped dropping I either lowered the calories slightly or increased the daily protein goal. Briannee was very consistent and stuck to plan.

Doing things with the simple goal of a weekly deificit meant she could live her life, enjoy December holiday and even eat out with friends or family on occasion.

Now that she has managed to build her nutrition and training into her lifestyle, things just flow.

Our goals lately have been to build more strength and mobility and it is going well – we just hit 75kg on deadlifts for reps!

Briannee has rightly expressed the incredible feeling of being under 100kg for the first time since high school and on top of that being close to picking that up as well.

Aziza Scheidereiter (36)

Scoliosis, diabetes and post partum difficulties.

Most doctors, trainers and physios would have probably recommended this awesome young woman stick to pain killers and walking her entire life.

I asked Aziza from the start if she was willing to put in the work, and she sure was. With her work ethic and dedication to do better for her kids and my willingness to let her accomplish anything she wanted to inside a gym (under my safe guidelines), she did it.

She broke out of the norm, Aziza now deadlifts, squats and bench presses every week. As if this was not enough she does 2 boxing classes a week with the occasional run.

Superheroes do exist, I call them moms.

Aziza did not let her issues list outweigh her priorities. With a good plan, consistency and structure you can achieve a lot. Often the only difference is mindset.
